14 September 2009

Mert Iplik Dokuma Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (Turkey) commissioned textile enterprise with the cost of US$23.7 million in Namangan.

The venture was launched on the grounds of unfinished reinforced concrete plant, which Turkish investors acquired in summer 2007 in zero-redemption price and undertake to invest US$23.7 million.

The capacity of the venture can process 18,000 tonnes of cotton-fiber and produce 7,999 tonnes of cotton yarn and 5,000 tonnes of stockinet.

Turkish investors plan to double production at the venture via investing US$25 million to the second stage of the project.
