     South Korean Daewoo International launched Daewoo Textile Bukhara on the basis of former Bukharatex enterprise.

     The foreign corporation reconstructed the buildings and installed the most modern production lines and equipment. The volume of investments made up US$52.5 million.

     Daewoo Textile Bukhara is capable of processing 19,500 tonnes of cotton fiber and producing 16,000 tonnes of yarn per year. More than 80% of the production will be exported.

     Vice prime minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiyev and head of administration of Bukhara region S.Khuseynov participated in the opening of the new enterprise, UzA reported.
